First class experience for unbeatable price”

I loved the space, the room quality and the room service

I chose the Liaoning Hotel as I had a meeting in Tsinghua University. The price offered on agoda was excellent for a lesser hotel and when i got there i was amazed at the room size, quality and finish. I ordered room service and got excellent fish and chips after midnight. The hotel is modern, spacious and the room impeccable. The staff are friendly and do their best to assist. I will certainly stay again for meetings in Tsinghua, where i walked to my destination building in 20 minutes from the hotel along a straight line.

Local Hotel near University area”

Room, cleanliness and location

I was stayed in Beijing Liaoning because of my conference also in this hotel. The room quite big and clean, internet wifi, but only 3 English tv channel. Breakfast is local breakfast, maybe not for my taste. Location aroun 16 km from Beijing tourist area (wangfujing, tianamen etc) so you need to take cab to go there.

Nice hotel but lousy service”

Great location, comfortable and clean room

First of all, I must say thanks to Liaoning hotel for a free upgrade to the Executive Room. Earlier, I have booked Deluxe room but no clean room was available then, hence, I was given a free upgrade. However, the next few days of stay in Liaoning hotel turned out to be an unpleasant experience. Although the interior of the room was excellent, the aircon was either extremely weak or not working at all. I have asked 3 different persons separately regarding this problem i.e. the technician, front desk staff and another hotel staff, and all of them gave me different explanation for the problem. I attempted to open the window so that cool air could come in, but my attempt was futile. As a result, I perspired throughout the whole night as the temperature inside the room was between 29 to 30 degrees celcius. I have gone down to the front desk to voice my concerns, however, no damage recovery was made.

Lovely Hotel, Near BLCU, friendly staffs”

English Spoken, Friendly staffs

I stayed here because of it's location which is near BLCU. It's about 10-12 RMB away. The hotel itself has great gym and sport facilities. Room was very clean, internet, spacious. The price was a bit too expensive for the room. Con: nothing to eat around the hotel. SO, you have to eat from the hotel restaurants (very nice), or buy some stuff before returning to hotel.

Comfortable room for business travelers”

Comfortable bed, good breakfast selection

The hotel is very modern and centrally located in the university district of Haidan. Most of the clientele are Chinese businesspeople (we are European tourists). This accounts for the fact that we were the only guests at breakfast at 9:30 on Monday morning. There was a good selection of European and Chinese breakfast foods and the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. However we found the prices at the coffee shop exorbitant. The small shopping mall adjacent to the lobby was like a ghost town with everything closed up.

Good value for price, would return”

The location is convenient if you need to be in the area. May have a little trouble finding the place as the hotel seems to share the building space with other businesses and the hotel entrance itself is not visible from the street. Cabs are lined up at the hotel entrance to pick up guests during daytime, so you won't have to call for one. They ask for 500 RMB deposit (cash or card) when you check in so be ready for that. Hotel had a nice, luxurious feel. Room was spacious and clean, although bathroom cleanliness was not quite 5 star. The shower did not work well - when we tried to turn on the hot water, the shower slowed to a dribble. Had to take a bath instead just to have hot water. Usual basic toiletries and 2 bottles of mineral water were provided free. Staff were friendly and helpful but speak limited English. Fine for basic things like checking in and out, but nothing too complicated.

Friendly somewhat English speaking staff”

All staff very friendly and accommodating. Some English speakers a definite plus.

room was plenty big, but a bit tired. marble floors and carpeting not the cleanest. hotel currently under renovation. some restaurants closed at present. bed clean and comfortable. in china, all hotel beds tend to be a bit too firm, but this bed was very soft and comfortable. the staff were very accommodating. i was prepared to launch into my best chinese, but no need; i was greeted in english at the check-in counter. the one restaurant i ate in was clean and affordable. the western style food was fine. a very convenient location since i was studying at a language school just across the road. and the taxi from the airport was easy.

Transitioning from Previous Management”

Nice rooms overall, lower prices for a high-end hotel

Good price for the hotel, but for the traveler who does not know Chinese, this may be more of a challenge. The rooms were reasonably clean, but the sheets and towels were a bit tattered and some stained. They still had the moniker from the previous hotel owners - hence, my statement about in transition. There was a lot of construction near the hotel and even in the parts of the building that were being prepared for other businesses (e.g., Mercedes Dealer Showroom). Close to Beihang University, but about 20 minutes walk from nearest Subway station. Very little help from hotel staff on finding things in the area due to language barrier. All this been said, I would consider staying here again. The price differential makes this a good value, despite the downsides.
