Satisfied”
We were satisfied with our stay in Beijing HWA Apartment Hotel. Very close to Lingjing metro. No overpass or tunnel from this metro. About 400-500 meters walk from Airport Bus Terminal #2 just south of Xidan metro. Light luggage will be fine but not huge many heavy luggage because you have to cross through a tunnel and go up and down 2 high overpass( escalator going up but steps going down. this is located in Beijing locals shopping paradise. Eateries no problem. Walmart is 5-10minutes by bus. Staff excellent, friendly and always ready to help. The guy in charge of their laundry was excellent and very helpful especially with our tour to Mu Tian Yu Great Wall, directions and Chinese translations. Room was clean. cleaning staff will clean room,change lines and towels daily no charge. Just tell them. Our only disappointment was, there was no washer and the stove was not functioning. We need them for our 9 days stay in Beijing. but there was refrigerator and microwave which was a big plus. Taxis right in front of the hotel. We did not smell smoke in our room or in any areas of the hotel. We will stay again in Beijing Hua Wei Apartment Hotel whenever we will be in Beijing.

Brilliant location & spacious one bedroom apmt”
We stayed here for 10 days in a business suite. While HWA does not offer the full range of hotel facilities (e.g.only one restaurant, which offed Chinese breakfast) we would thoroughly recommend it for a family holiday exploring Beijing. Close to Xidan Metro which gives excellent access to many key attractions (Beijing Zoo, Forbidden City, and easy interchange to other Metro lines). Xidan is a really excellent shopping area with a lot of top brands stores just across the road in Joy City and cheaper shopping markets across the road in the other direction. Within a couple of minutes of the hotel entrance one could find all manner of local food plus the usual fast food restaurants. Our apartment was clean and was well serviced daily. Kitchen equipment was rather lacking (e.g. utensils, knives, etc.) and the gas cooker didn't work but there was a good sized fridge-freezer and a microwave - so a holidaying family could cope. Front desk staff were helpful though with limited English. HWA provides apartments so do not expect a full service 4* hotel but the swimming pool was OK and the bellman can help with luggage. Excellent value - we would strongly recommend HWA.

Central location and very nice and spacy apartment”
I was quite pleased with my stay here! The apartment is large, clean and modern and overlooks a lovely garden area. I used the swimming pool once and the gym once, and took advantage of the convenient restaurant in the building for breakfast a few times. The bed is comfy, and there's a big flat screen TV in the main area. The only thing that stood out in an otherwise well designed apartment was a strange key to open the door to the balcony. They should really add in a normal handle or normal key. The area is perfectly located a short walk between two metros that bring you wherever you need and plenty of taxis are around. One was waiting right outside the hotel just in case anyone wanted to go to the airport (about 45 minutes away). The street itself isn't so interesting: lots of malls and cinemas, but not so much of a selection of restaurants apart from mall restaurants/Pizza hut and the like. Other parts of the city are interesting, but it's very central so there's no problem to reach them. Overall, I was very happy with my stay! A little beyond the budget I usually have, but it was worth it to come back to some comfort after a day out in hot Beijing.

This hotel had everything I wanted: quiet rooms overlooking a peaceful courtyard, serviced apartments, swimming pool and proximity to modern and old sights and shops. I could eat in the hutongs, join with the locals in early morning exercises and walk to the main sights, or take the metro with ease if going further afield. Apparently it is great value according to the locals who know, it certainly did me well. I will go back there next time in Beijing.

Good location and cozy room”
I have stayed in HWA beijing hotel with my daughther and we really enjoyed its good location and many places which we did shopping. Also, there are many restaurants and food courts for choice. We liked that its check out time is 2pm and we had enough time for packing, eating and taking shower. The price was little bit higher than other hotels with the same service. There is no wi-fi in the rooms.

Overall...we were very happy with the accommodations. Having a larger family...it is often hard to find a hotel to fit us without getting two separate rooms. We were able to sleep everyone without any space or bed issues. The water from the tap is not palatable per sanitation standards, but if you boil it first, it may be safe. Immediately next door is a shopping center where a case of bottled water can be purchased for cheap. There are local shopping centers surrounding the hotel. Joy city mall is across the street and an open air market is also nearby. The subway is easily accessible and is very inexpensive to navigate the city. If you are interested in taking tours of Beijing...they offer both private and group tours with transportation and an english speaking guide. We had an exceptional time and were pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to navigate China and how friendly the people were to our family. Cheers.

Great value for family of five”
We enjoyed our stay. We arrived at Beijing South railway station and got to hotel by subway line 4. Hotel entrance is on a side street, we had to ask directions. We have three children and stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment (paid for an extra bed and had our youngest sleep in our queen sized bed). Apartment has a kitchen but only plates. Very spacious and comfortable. Service was fine, room was relatively clean. Subway line 1 and 4 within walking distance. You can catch the subway or walk to Tiananmen Square and Palace Museum.

Great location but a bit overpriced”
The location of this hotel is great. It is in the city center, 5 minutes walk from Xidan Subway Station, close to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. Although the breakfast was not provided there are many faast food restaurants around the hotel, which is located at the top floors of a shopping mall actually. The staff speaks little English but enough for check-in and check-out. However I let my Chinese girlfriend talk to housekeeping. The room we had was big with a separate bedroom and kitchenette but unfortunately the kitchen was not equipped with any dishes, pots or utensils so cooking was out of the question. There was a microwave and fridge as well. It would have been much nicer if the hotel provided some basic cooking equipment! The bathroom was alright, a bit dark and the shower head was fixed at the height suitable for a Chinese person but not for a tall European. I had to bend my knees to actually get my head wet! All in all, the stay was okay but I think the price they ask for such a room should be a bit lower. One very uncomfortable thing was that both me and my girlfriend got some kind of rash on our skin while we stayed here. We suspected the bed quilt but we could not be sure. Perhaps it was the polluted air of Beijing ;)

Very nice place to stay-great location”
Very good stay. Everything was as shown on website. The apartment was a little worn, but was expected with it's 3 star rating. This is in an excellent location, just about 600 meters walk to the subway and surrounded by shopping and restaurants. We are a family of 5 so a regular hotel room just isn't big enough. This apartment was perfect with one king bed, one double bed, and a small couch. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our requests. If we needed something they were very quick to respond. The staff doesn't speak very much English. They always tried their very best but were not able to provide a lot of help with questions like you might find with a concierge at a chain hotel. Just make sure to do your research before you go so you know what restaurants you want to eat at and how to get there. This was true not just at the hotel, but we found very few people that spoke English so you really need to plan your trip well and do lots of research if you are not hiring a guide. All in all very good experience. Great value apartment hotel.

I strongly recommend this hotel, especially those who wants to shop in Beijing. My room was very clean and large with nice and comfortable design. The location of the hotel is great in Xidan. The room was very quiet, perhaps because my room was faced to the garden.

Convenient Hotel at Xidan”
This all-suite hotel is a good value for someone who needs spacious rooms. There is no big reception hall. Hwr, the hotel has a central garden and a swimming pool. We arrived at Xidan metro station and walked a few minutes to the hotel. The reception is located at a side street. It would be difficult for any taxi driver to find the hotel lobby.

We booked the family suite, this had two rooms, a kitchenette and enough space for two adults and two children under 8. It is no holiday resort however for its location it was very good value for money. Had to pay extra for use of fitness centre and pool. It has a reasonable indoor pool, however the pool featured in the pictures is actually a garden pond and dose not appear to work any more. If you happen to stay on a floor that opens onto the roof top garden it is relatively pleasant to sit outside. The hotel is surrounded by shopping malls, so it is easy to find food options if you do not fancy the hotel restaurant and the kitchenette was helpful for feeding the children. Lacked some basic things like plates, luckily we had our own. Overall for a budget family hotel in central beijing it was a bargain.

Rooms was spacious and clean. Due to the convenient hotel location, i need not to use taxi in Beijing, all destinations can be reached through speedy train, and train station is walking distance to the hotel. Shopping malls around the hotels was great experience for my trip in Beijing!

Great location, large rooms with kitchen”
I did a lot of research before booking this hotel and looking back think that it was good choice. The hotel is a at a great location with subway 5 mins walk and several large shopping malls with multiple food options both local and international. We are vegetarian so these food courts helped in finding some veggie dishes to eat. The rooms were big and the kitchen had the basic things (plates, utensils, stove, microwave etc.) for cooking. I think if you ask they can provide additional items to help you cook. The only significant negative thing about the hotel is smell in the corridor and smoke smell in the rooms as well. Though we requested for a non-smoking room we did not get one. You probably have to explicitly ask at the reception. The reception staff spoke enough English to communicate and were helpful in writing stuff in Chinese. They even booked a taxi for us. Very positive experience.

Wonderful 2 bedroom apartment”
My room was wonderfully clean, spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a pantry, and living area. It's located in an excellent location nearby subways, shopping malls. However when we took the taxi from the airport the driver told us to use our phone to key in the direction to our hotel which was stressful for us as we do not have a Chinese map so we used google app didn't give an accurate direction to the hotel. The taxi driver was rude as he expected us to direct him when he supposed to help us get there after being shown the address in mandarin. So may be it's better to book a taxi from the hotel if your flight is coming in early in the morning or very late at night. Also be prepared to ensure you have RMB 2 or 5 notes to buy tickets from machine when taking subway because the service counter may not be opened at times. We had difficulties in Tiannamen East station when we ran of the smaller notes; can't top up our yikatong / change smaller notes asunters were closed!

Lots of room”
The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were large. It was great to have a living room. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel and a subway stop just down the street. It was a short walk to Tianamen Square. If you have a young child there's a bit of city noise during the day, but everything is quiet after 10pm and we never heard another guest. There is a supermarket very close to the hotel if you need anything.

My frank assessment of our stay in this apartment”
If not for its location, I wouldn't bother to even do tis review. Like they only know about a 3 in a family thing cos of the govt. policy. Booked a 2-room apartment N the other room ONLY has a single bed N another mattress has to be pulled ino the room N there is hardly any space left to move about near the dressing table area. Of course they dare not Charged for the extra bed!!! N 0nly 2 cups for our morning drink N NOTeven 2 soons 4 stirring our hot drink......Can provide 4 bathing towels/face towels but cant even provide the basic necessities....Will NEVER recommend tis hotel

when I arrived at the airport of beijing, nobody knew this hotel include taxi drivers. I had to search around for about 1 hour. It would be much better if agoda put down hotel's phone number in the hotel voucher. except this, and price was expensive(olympic period :) ), everything was satisfied to stay this hotel. hotel facilities are a little old but clean and stand in center of the city and close to shopping center.
