SMOKING IN THE ROOMS”
GuiZhou Hotel is quite nice with friendly staff. The only problem is that smoking is tolerated in the rooms. The hotel staff told me that in theory smoking is prohibited, but the hotel cannot financially sanction a guest if he/she smokes in the room because only the police have such powers. A Chinese lawyer told me that this is not true. The lawyer informed me in order to sanction a guest for smoking, the hotel must place signs in the rooms and bathrooms that smoking is prohibited and will be subject to a fine. The amount of the fine must be indicated on the signs. In the event that a guest smokes in the room, the hotel can impose the fine and add it to the guest's bill. According to the Chinese lawyer, a non-smoking policy with civil sanctions is applied by other hotels in China and is very effective. If the GuiZhou Hotel strictly enforces its "non-smoking" policy, I will certainly recommend the hotel to friends and acquaintances.

comfortable, quiet hotel”
It was a very pleasant stay, initially we book for 2 nights, afraid for bad experiences with hotel staff before but turn out this hotel is very professional and really worth its price. We asked for non smoking room and they have their special floor. The view from our room was great, nothing block the way. And the cleaning lady really done her job every day. If there is a bad thing for this hotel, that would be no mall nor restaurant to pick nearby. There's a chinese restaurant and a bakery close by, and hotel's restaurant, but that's it. It didn't matter much for us though since we always eat before going back to hotel. A very big plus, MRT (metro) station is in the other side of the road and Bus stop is literally in front of the hotel. I would love to book again in the future.

This hotel was great.housekeeping done everyday.hotel reception staff helped us with things like booking tickets to the forbidden city and calling taxi.2 people could speak English.breakfast was good but priced a bit high(75 RMB),subway station exit b is 100meters from hotel across the road. there are not many shops nearby except for a 24 hour store nearby.

There was a mess up with the booking, I got a much lower-end room than booked and they did not read the comments section at all (everything was exactly the opposite). Went back to the reception desk, had to push a little, but got a good room eventually - supposedly the best type in the hotel, meaning an upgrade from the original. The staff, much like everywhere in China unless you're in a specifically western hotel, does not speak English. There was one girl at the front desk (don't remember the name anymore, think she was a manager of a sort), who spoke really good English and was super friendly and nice.

We had a good, decent stay in this hotel. Room amenities are quickly replenished, and room service is responsive to requests. Front Desk is courteous inspite of the language barrier. The hotel is clean and strategically located, with easy access (walking distance) to familiar QSRs like KFC and convenience stores like 7-11.

For Chinese conditions it is a good hotel. For a four-star hotel in general, it is not good. Although they clean the room every day, the carpet in the rooms are quite dirty and I wouldn't recommend to walk barefoot. The toilet is not dirty but you see weird marks on it which they are not able to clean anymore.The a/c is really bad - in all the standard rooms. It is not working at all. If you enter e.g. 22°C it heats up to 29°C and above. I even had to open the window (which the cleaning ladies did as well) in order to cool the room down. And remember: the air in Beijing is very polluted. The wifi connection is really bad. However, I heard it is worse in other surrounding hotels. They charge you extra for breakfast (75 RNB = 10€) which is a little bit expensive for China but you have a huge range of different kinds of food. From Western to Chinese food, they offer a lot. So in general, it was okay.

The one thing I like about this hotel is that it is close to the subway. In China, distances between prime locations can be very far apart, so being close to the subway is a definite plus for me. My booking didn't come with breakfast, but if you walk to the nearest cross junction and turn right, there are 3 to 4 local eateries there where you can grab a bit for 20 - 30 RMB.

Old hotel but well maintained. Friendly staff. Clean environment. Also there is a very good restaurant at level 2. You don't want to miss the great food when you stay at this place. Worth your money back.

Check in staff in the counter need more training for handelling foreign traveller. I need to Show my passport for 3 times for check in procedure.Breakfast a bit expensive ( US 11 dollar ), l will rather eat my breakfast near Subway . There is a bekary shop there offer good coffee and bread . The hotel close to highway and morning you can hear noisy and busy trafic out there. Over all is good for me and will comback again.

Good location and very near subway”
This is very comfortable for traveller. Near to subway about 300 meters. Room is very clean. Value for money. But the room have no air conditioning and need to open the window if need the wind come inside the room. Many mosquitos came into room. And the window have no the mosquito wire screen too.

The location is very convenient about 5 min walk to subway Hepingxiqiao station. While the information in the booking page is that wifi is not available, free wifi is actually available in room. Front Staff speaks English and provides good service.
