Great social hostel, with an awesome crew! ”
Bed and Ink is a great hostel in Ko Tao. It’s very close to the pier, only a 5 minutes walk. The crew of the hostel is great and they are very friendly and helpful! The rooms and beds in the hostel are clean and really cool (I loved the airconditioning). Even the beds are made up every day: great service!!! You can store you luggage in locker on the hallway. Definitely visit Bed and Ink if you looking for an social, but quite hostel after 23:00 hours. The organize al lot of social activity’s such as a bbq, were you definitely meet new people.

Best hostel in Koh Tao! ”
I was only meant to be there a couple of night but ended up staying over a week, all staff are incredible and helped with advice on when to see turtles at Shark Bay which I got to see on the last day. The hostel is clean, friendly and very chilled, but very social at the same time. Would 100% come back when I next come to Koh Tao and will be telling everyone to stay there as well!

Comfy and relaxed stay ”
It was absolutely beautiful staying at Bed and Ink. It’s super laid back, relaxed, the staff is looking after you, knows you by name and it’s super clean, too. I enjoyed my stay, could have stayed there easily one more week. I actually was kinda sad to leave after 4 nights. Would definetely come back there!

I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. As a solo traveller, it was easy to meet others. The location was great. However, the staff made were the main reason I loved my time in Koh Tao. They were incredibly fun and friendly. They would also go out of their way and give many recommendations just to ensure you enjoyed your stay.

Great hostel”
I really enjoyed my stay here. I arrived planning to stay just one night and then heading nearer Sairee Beach, but then I booked with a diving center 2 mins walk from Bed & Ink and decided to stay for other 5 nights. I liked the open and chilled atmosphere. The owner is great, really helpful and genuinely kind, the beds are large and comfortable, bathrooms too (both inside the dorm and outside). It's near the pier, but we managed to walk until Sairee without problems. The only problem was a little bit of smell in the bathroom from time to time, but bearable.

Very convenient location near the port with an adorable pet!”
This hostel was so perfect for someone that didn't want to walk very far from the port upon arriving. The facilities were decent, but I wish that the bathrooms were better equipped. The hostel's pet pig was the cutest thing ever and I loved watching & playing with it! The staff was very friendly and helped with booking a scuba course. There is no breakfast included. There is a place to rent motorbikes right across the street which allowed me to explore the rest of the island easily. The bunk beds are super close together in the rooms which was a bit odd but it wasn't bad. Overall I enjoyed my stay here.

Mostly great with some caveats”
I'll start with the good: super social hostel with friendly staff. They organized a Christmas dinner and even prizes for those that participated. The location was solid as well near the pier (if that's what you want) with loads of restaurants and shops nearby. Now the caveats: - the pig is a bit of an issue. He looks severely overweight and struggles to move around. During the day he sleeps between in the area between the bathroom, stairs and lockers. Having to navigate around him while he was sleeping made me uncomfortable. One morning he was sleeping right against my locker, luckily I didn't need to use it that day. - It being a social hostel and it also doubling as a bar, it can get loud. If you're planning on doing a lot of diving or early mornings, this might not be the place for you. While they do shut down the bar at 10:30ish, other guests might not be as accommodating talking/drinking in the common area until the late hours. I was unlucky to be in the dorm right behind the bar/common area so this was common for me. A dorm on the second level is likely quieter and more chill.

Unique and lively place to meet new people”
Being far beyond the average age group I was warmely welcomed and felt comfortably integrated in the social activities. All the recommendations for tours etc. turned out to be best value for money. They even manage to integrate two pigs into the daily hostellive which is amazing and changed my attitude towards these animals. And there is a nice Pool to use without limitation time. They really want to make everybody happy. I loved it so much, that I extended.

Adored This Hostel”
I stayed here for 7 nights and absolutely loved it. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, the dorms were clean and comfortable, and the location is about 30 seconds away from the beach. There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, so there’s always options for food and drinks close. Can’t recommend this hostel enough, it felt like a second home during my stay

Really nice chilled but social hostel. Great staff especially Tom, friendly people, most people are diving so are there for a few days but it doesn’t matter if you are or not. Showers could be a little cleaner and towels weren’t always available. Good at recommending places to visit etc. Lockers outside dorms were big. About a 20 min walk to Sairee beach however there is a closer beach only 2 minutes away. Would stay again though!

If you are worried about wanting a quieter room just book the 6 bedroom it’s upstairs away from any noise. Awesome hostel and really nice and helpful workers.

Overrated ”
First of all, this hostel has posters offering free ice coffee to people who leave a great review which for me is a tad dishonest. I stayed 1 night as ideal location arriving off the boat. Sociable and very friendly atmosphere. But zero security and wasn’t able to get a locker. Dorms are on ground floor next to reception and not lockable.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Excellent location if you're looking for somewhere close to the pier, otherwise 25 minute walk to Sairee Beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Shower in the dorm happened to have very weak pressure, so we were advised to use the washrooms on the ground level instead. Dorm beds were comfy.

The vibe here is great! Super close to the port so that's really great. Tom was an amazing host, thank you for everything! Shower pressure isn't all that great, but you can't expect perfection on a small island. A bit of a walk if you want to do the pub crawl, but sometimes it's good to walk it off ;) I would recommend staying here!

central and friendly ”
I enjoyed my stay there. It's central and fun and comfortable. And the staff is friendly and helpful too. Only downsides: it can be quite noisy at night. Especially during the weekend. And the AC is switched off in the rooms during the day, so it gets too hot to stay there.

Great hostel but dorm needs work”
Great hostel overall. They had a pet pig which was really cool. The common area is has a good atmosphere and is very nice. The location is quite central. It is right off the pier so it is really easy to get to. The one downside is that the dorm was not very comfortable. I stayed upstairs and it was very dark and cramped.

Choose another place ! ”
I went to this hostel couple days ago, it seems cool at the beginning. There was a big pig and also a small one which is cool. But 5 minutes after I arrived the bigger pig bite so bad a woman. She had a deep wound. I wander why you keep a pig that bites customers ??? And apparently it was not the first time. Then, my friend and I decided to rent a scooter with the hostel because we were trusting them. First of all, we took a clear video of the bike before using it. Then, when we return it, they asked 1000 baht telling us we had scratch the pipe. We had no accident and the scratch was there before, we could saw it on the video. But they said video is not okay and on their picture we could not see it. But it could be another bike on the photos. So we went to the guy of the hostel so he can help us. But he didn’t and just say we have to pay. So neveragain I will trust this hostel !!. Even if you have picture, they don’t care, only theirs pictures works apparently.
