Clean and great staff. A hidden gem ”

Rooms, staff, location

My wife and i spent 4 wonderful nights at the Baan Duangkaew Resort and were very happy with our stay. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Friday-Sunday nights they have a night market next door and was very enjoyable to go and look and shop. They also had music which would end around 9pm so if you want a quiet time during your stay i would suggest staying during the week. Next time i travel to Hua Hin i will definitely stay here.. :)

3rd time at this hotel ”

Always made to feel welcome

we left a dump of a hotel in chaing mai to come to hua hin again, this is our 3rd stay and we would never stay anywhere else in hua hin , staff so so nice they remembered my wife and were delighted to see us both , they arrange everything for us taxi , trips , what ever we need and we always feel like we are so welcomed , i can not say enought about this place, i travel so much and to enjoy this hotel which icon the top of my list of any hotel in the world should go someway of reassuring people about the quality of staff a and rooms, only downside if i had to say is the power in the shower is lacking , but rooms stunning , staff great , ... you will not be disappointed in your stay here .

Relaxing atmosphere but near some attractions”

fresh, good-priced traditional thai dishes, near the artsy cicada market, nice pools, good and attentive staff

i brought my 60 year-old mother to hua hin on her first trip out of america. she likes markets and enjoys relaxing in a quiet, naturally beautiful environment. although baan duangkaew isn't exactly on the beach- different from how i usually stay in hh- it showed a different side of resorts for me. my mom loved sitting poolside reading her book in the sun or under the umbrella and shady trees with an occasional dip in the one of two pools on site. we had tasty, fresh yet traditional thai dishes for lunch served by a very polite and attentive staff. the ice lemon teas are delicious but a bit too sweet (just add some water). at night, we went to the cicada market which i have been to before and really enjoyed. it has handicrafts made by locals and around, live shows and music and a wonderful food area with some of the best seafood and desserts. i have been to hh and surrounding places such as cha-am and pranburi a few times and stayed at many places at varying costs. i feel i made the right choice for my mom and i. however, i would not stay here alone as it is a bit too quiet during the day and can get a bit noisy at the weekend- the cicada market is open fri, sat and sun in the evenings. the shows and music can be quite loud and extend late into the night so if you are an early sleeper like my mom and i then i recommend maybe a bungalow not near the market side. all in all i am happy with the service, the accommodations, the food and the location. i thought it was a bit expensive but then again we booked last minute and went during the thai new year- songkran- when everyone leaves bangkok. a great place if it were a bit cheaper.

Lovely, Romantic Hotel with Very Friendly Staff”

Quiet Secluded Location, Short Walk to Beach, Very Helpful Staff, Free Wifi in Room

I stayed with my fiancee at the Baan Duangkaew Resort for 8 days in September 2012. I booked a Thai Bungalow and was totally overwhelmed by the beauty of the resort and the Bungalow I booked. The resort has 20 Thai bungalows...10 bungalows are spaced around two small swimming pools. You can walk out of your bungalow a few feet to the pools. The resort is beautifully maintained with a lush variety of tropical flora. I enjoyed walked throughout the complex everyday to sample to variety of flowers in bloom. My only negative feedback would be the breakfast was order by menu and not a buffet breakfast. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with giving directions to sightseeing locations and calling a us taxi.

Very Enjoyable ”

Our stay at Baan Duangkaew Resort was very enjoyable , the staff made us feel very welcome and gave us that personal touch you never get at the large Hotels . We stayed over New Year 2018/2019 and were very impressed with the hospitality on New Years Eve during the day with the traditional Thai cooking, dressing up in Thai clothes the entire team of staff included our 8 year old with the celebrations she even helped the gardener . We would recommend to anyone , really good location close to Tamarind Market & Cicada Markets with just a short Tuk Tuk our Taxi up to town center.

A lovely resort .”

I enjoyed my time here . Hua Hin is much more laidback compared to other beach resorts in Thailand . The Hua Hin Beach is quite nice , but not as good as Krabi or Samui . However , there are some lovely beaches nearby . The resort is lovely with a nice pool and spacious rooms . Friendly staff as well . There is also a magnificent night market nearby .

shhhhh ”

location, quite, beautiful resort

This small resort was fantastic. It location was just far enough away from Hua Hin City and easy to access via bus. The resort has 2 pools with all bungalows facing towards the pool. The beach access is a 150 metre walking distance. There are food options close by , easy walking distance. On weekends you have the amazing Cicada night markets. We stayed 6 nights, should had booked for longer.

Lovely bungalows set in garden location ”

We had a lovely time at the resort with the bungalows located around the pools in lovely Garden , it was a short walk to the lovely beach and for means just a short hop to the local food market where you can choose from a large variety of local seafood and Thai dishes. Staff at the resort were very helpful and friendly and we would stay here again for sure. A nice change from the large hotels that appear to be taking over Hua Hin.

Charming bungalows in a beautiful tropical garden”

peaceful and relaxing location with a real thai feel to it

this hotel was a true good surprise as we planned our trip to hua hin at the last minute. it is located in khao takiap, which is quieter and seems to be more popular with thai people than westerners. it's five minutes away from the beach, and close to the "monkey mountain". the bungalows are charming, as well as the pool and garden. it is very peaceful. the staff was always lovely and very helpful. and the restaurant offers really good thai food.

individual chalets, nice quiet

location is far end of hua hin, still only 10 minute ride on motorbike to heart of town,200m from main road so if need taxis no problem, number of restaurants and bars within walking distance, also at weekends market in the park just next door. hotel staff very friendly, you may need some mosquito spray if sat outside on your balcony on an evening, but is small price to pay for the pleasure.

Nice accommodation for a nice price”

Staff, Privacy and the Swimming pools

A good value accommodation close to the center of Hua-hin. The bungalows were nice and well-maintenance. Two swimming pools for two units allowed you to swim in private most of the times. The breakfast, on the other hand, was disappointing. We found a lot of ants in the coffee and hot water. Thanks to their attentive staff, they changed the water immediately after we informed them.

secluded and quiet”

not far from the beach without the on-the-beach prices

We have stayed here twice. The rooms are nice and clean, though simply outfitted. the grounds are what makes this hotel. You feel like you are in a secluded jungle paradise with nice pools. Breakfast is ok. The beach is maybe 300 meters down a quiet walk, not too many resorts or people. Not hard to get into downtown Hua Hin, just walk 200 meters to top of road a get a songtao or tuk tuk.

Stayed 2 nights in September 2012

One of the most warm nice quiet resort”

Quiet environment for relaxing day from busy routine

We got impression with their friendly services. The resort is not really close to the beach and it's about 150 metres away by walk but it doesn't matter as you can enjoy the pool at the resort. The surrounding inside resort make you feel like you're home. I would love to come back and stay here once again if I get a chance to go Hua Hin.
