For the price the pool was the reason we booked”
This hotel is situation in the heart of Khaosan road, one of the very busy streets. Staff were great, helpful and polite. Our room was situated on the 2nd floor, noise doesn't really start until the evening, probably around 9/10pm. Our room 202 have the aircon units just outside of the room window, which made alot of noise - was the first thing i noticed. But once you turn on the room aircon you can barely hear it, since the aircon device is abit old then the ones I've since on our trip elsewhere, and it does make its own noise. Not really an issue, as its the noise of cold air! You will hear music playing from the street until around 3am. Was mostly noticeable from our bathroom. Bed was firm, abit hard for my liking. Bathroom/wet room clean and enough space in comparison to others. Hot water too. Room provides free water + plus a paid minibar. Pool upstairs was great Hotel provides taxi service abit more expensive then the street price. Check S1 BUS. 60bpp

right in all the action”
RIkka Inn was the perfect place to stay! If you are interested in being near all the action of Khao San Road- this is it! However, this place was surprisingly very quiet- The hotel was right in the middle of Khao San Road but kind of set back in a way and it seemed as though most rooms were away from the street noises. I stayed there 2 nights at the beginning of my trip and one night at the very end of the trip and was glad i did. Great reception- we were to arrive at 11pm but didnt arrive till 4am due to flight delay- this wasn't a problem- our room was basic, but extremely clean and had a unique feeling (interesting decor)- comfortable beds- Most showers in Thailand were like the ones at Rikka Inn- a shower that is in the bathroom directly over the toilet- so you pretty much get the entire bathroom wet -dont forget to remove the toilet paper! Kind of annoying but we found this standard unless you are at a fancy hotel/resort where there are more western style showers- But good water pressure/hot water- excellent rooftop pool/showers/bathroom- We used on our last day and they held our bags for us for the day (20 baht/day) since we had a late departure out of Bangkok- Just outside of reception is a adorable coffee shop- some of the best i had in Bangkok- and delicious breakfast sandwiches/fruit- 7-11 also right there for any other needs as well- If you are looking to stay on Khao San Road this is absolutely the place!!! 100% recommended

Great hotel on Khaosan Road”
Khaosan Road is the backpacker's road in Bangkok. Rikka inn gets a little noisy at midnight, just a little music. Room service were good, however receptionist were double standard. One was welcoming and helpful whereas one couldn't bothered to help further. The hotel have a tailor shop by the name of milano tailors. The tailor was very friendly and provided good services, even mended my shorts button for me when i accidentally broke it. The hotel is one of the best i have stayed in Khaosan Road, I have stayed in two others.

Nice but basic hotel in the centre of Bangkok”
the rikka inn is good value for money and is in the hub of bangkok but it is on the khaosan road which means it is noisy at night and we did find it a little hard to sleep unless we came in at 5am! so if you want a quiet stay this hotel is not for you. the rooms are small and very clean and tidy. the beds are rock hard and the pillows like bags of sand! the hotel does have a pool on the roof top which is small but it is nice to get away from the hustle and bustle that is khaosan road. all in all a good place to stay for people looking for a party atmosphere.

Middle of Khaosan Road”
I arrived late on Friday night and they put me in a room closest to Khaosan Road. For those that don't know what Khaosan Road is. It is the main party street for foreigners. The room itself was quite nice and large. I have stayed here before and it is larger than their normal rooms, but the reason for this is that it is the closest room to the night life and extremely noisy. The best way to combat this is to go out until 3am, when things quite down on the street. The next day I asked to be put in a different room away from the street. The staff member was very helpful and did this immediately for me. The new room was smaller, but a lot quiter. Rooms are clean and the hotel is very central to the night life. They also store your luggage for a short time if you are going to travel. I will be going back soon to stay for a couple of days. If I were staying in Bangkok for more then 3 days I would not recommend staying on Khaosan road.

Pleasantly Surprised”
I was a bit hesitant to stay in a hotel right on Khoa San Road but I didn't need to be. I was very pleasantly surprised. We had a room looking right down on the busy backpackers' street which provided great entertainment but closing the window shut it all out. The room was basic but comfortable and clean and the staff were very friendly. The rooftop pool was cool and refreshing after a hot day on the streets of Bangkok. There isn't a restaurant attached to the hotel but who needs a buffet breakfast when you're staying on Khoa San Road when delicious street food is literally steps away. We will definitely stay at the Rikka Inn when we return to Bangkok.

Lovely, clean hotel”
We very much enjoyed our stay at rikka. Arriving very early in the morning, we were able to check in straight away and get straight to sleep in the very comfy and clean bed. The bathroom was very large for a bathroom on Khaosan road, with power shower and hot water. Roof top pool was a real luxury and a very nice place to escape to Khaosan. I would highly recommend staying here if you fancy a bit of luxury, are going to be in Bangkok a while, or have a budget that allows you to stay :)

A fantastic hotel in a great busy location”
It was a really lovely hotel and for the price, we cannot recommend it enough! Khao San road is extremely loud, but the hotel was so lovely and peaceful, and the bathroom was clean with a hot water shower (our first hot shower in 4 weeks in Asia!). The rooftop pool was a great way to relax after a hot and humid day in Bangkok, and the hotel was very modern and well decorated. I would definitely recommend this hotel. There are no food/drink facilities here, but given how busy Khao San road is, you only have to step outside the door to find Western and Thai restaurants as well as a 7/11 supermarket!

Lovely hotel, great facilities and great price!”
We arrived at Rikka Inn at 8am (check in isnt until 2pm) they were kind enough to make up a room for us within 30 minutes - we paid a half day rate (less than $15AUD) which was worth it after having spent 10 hours on a bus! The hotel staff are very friendly and speak great English so they were easily able to help us with directions and tourist info (ie. how much to pay for taxis to certain places). The pool on the rooftop is awesome and very relaxing, the lounge suites fill up quickly though. The hotel is on Khoasan Road which we were hesitant about because of the noise (usually parties and music can go until 5-6am) but the hotel was quite and VERY peaceful, we didnt hear any noise and slept great. Walk out the hotel straight onto Khoasan - which is awesome! The rooms are clean, and room service is avaliable daily. Complimentary water is provided as well as clean towels and also a hairdryer. After two weeks of backpacking this hotel was luxurious for us (even including hot water!). We had a standard room for 2 people which was fine, but if you want to spend a tiny bit more the superior rooms provide alot more space - if I were to go back I would book a superior. The lobby contains 2 computers with free internet and the hotel also offers free Wifi throughout. We had an incredible stay, and for the amazing price we thought we chose really really well!

The best option on Khaosan road”
Every time I stop in Bangkok I stay in this hotel, it's in the heart of khaosan road but the rooms still really quite. The swimming pool in the rooftop is also a good place to chill in the hot days.

Great Service”
Right in the middle of Khoasan Road. Need to look up, but the sign is not that difficult to find. Was it nosy? Absolutely, but you need to know that is what Khaosan Road is about. The hotel was clean and very nicely decorated. Got to enjoy the pool for a little bit, but it was a nice pool, also had amazing views from the roof. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and polite. Would for sure stay there again.

Great location for travelers and excellent staff.”
The hotel is in a great location for travelers if you don't mind staying on the sometimes hectic Khaosan Road. The room was clean and typically small for a major Asian city and the staff were all professional and helpful. One staff member even went well out of her way to help my friend recover his ATM card from the machine.

Great stay”
We had Deluxe room at 5th floor. Room 501 Big and clean room with the view in the garden. 1 floor under pool. Clean bathroom. Right on the Khaosan road! Freee waters every day. AMAZING roof pool with bar! Transfer to the airports. WE didnt hear any noise from the street, it was really quiet, AC was more noisy than street, but ok. I can recommend

Perfect place for backpackers”
when reaching khaosan road, there are a lot of hotels and or backpackers inn to choose from. however rikka inn stands next to the iconic ronald mcdonald statue and is located far away from all the midnight and early morning loud music that dominates the streets of khaosan. for the jet lagged traveller, it provides tranquillity and for the party animal, a stone throw away from picking up lady sale thai girls and be in the midst of overnight partying.

Just right :)”
Good service, staff were quick and friendly. No problems with room. KhaoSan road is loud, if this is acceptable than it's a great hotel. I could sleep through gunfire so I had no problems sleeping. Breakfast not included but small cafe on ground floor has the best coffee I've had in a long time and breakfasts that are good enough. Would recommend this hotel for anyone not interested in hanging out in their hotel :)

Well located hotel in Bangkok with swimming pool”
in july 2011 i went to thailand with my family, i.e. two adults and two children (5 and 12 years old). we stayed a couple of days in bangkok and were looking for a well located hotel with a swimming pool. there were not many hotels in bangkok having a swimming pool and being within our budget. we found the rika inn which was exactly what we were looking for. hotel is located in kao san road, in a quite animated district of bangkok, ideal for those who want to do shopping or who want to party. kao san road is also quite close to many tourist attractions. it’s a good place to stay even for those traveling with a family. room rates were reasonable. rooms were rather small but clean and nicely decorated. air conditioning was highly appreciated. staff was friendly and helpful. there were computers with free internet access for the hotel guests. note that there is no restaurant within the hotel but we found many nice restaurants in soi rambutri at 5 minutes walking distance. rika in was a good choice for our 2 day stay in bangkok

Great Location, cozy and clean hotel ”
due to our stayed in rikka inn it was very fun. we can travel all over place in bangkok in very near distance, cause the place is in khaosan road which is in the middle town. very near to garden palace, wat arun, wat pho. our transportation is very easy whether we wanna take a taxi, tuk-tuk, boat or bus. although when night time is little bit noisy but i think its okay. in general, we can sleep very well. the service of the hotel is okay, high speed connection wi-fi, clean room, and the used of safe deposit is very easy.

Comfortable,centrally located budget hotel ”
Khaosan is a great neighborhood to stay in upon your arrival in Bangkok. We arrived at 4 am, and we were able to make ourselves comfortable with dinner and drinks in the surrounding area before checking into our hotel. This was essential,as we had been on a pale for almost 24 hours! Rikka Hotel was centrally located, and we were able to easily find transport to various areas and attractions in the city. The room was clean, the air conditioner was functional, and it was very reasonably priced considering the location. Located in the same building as the hotel, is a great cafe/ bar named Cafferino, which serves Western style breakfasts and lunches, and has take away beverages. It's a great place to grab breakfast, lunch ,snack or drink .the proprietress is helpful and friendly.
