Neatly nestled in-between the madness of this city’s hustle and bustle, there is an oasis that will most certainly be the refuge and highlight of your visit to Phnom Penh. As you enter the premises, you will be greeted in the manner that has made Cambodia the friendly country it is renowned to be: Warm, gentle and genuine caring. You will feel at home here. Our room was neat and clean, bright and light. Every detail to ensure your stay is simply perfect has been thought of, from fresh complimentary water to bathroom amenities. Our bed was firm and our room even had an ottoman to unwind and lounge on. The breakfasts are artistically and tastefully prepared and presented. The swimming pool is warm and even towels are proved for your lazy day spent on the lounge deck chairs. If impressions of a city can be defined by one place, Rambutan Resort and its staff will spoil your soul with their pampering touch. Highly recommended!

Wonderful place, wonderful staff”
I would highly recommend the Rambutan Resort. I stayed with my sister for one night and a few hours by the pool. The resort is not super easy to find, but that's also one of the best things about it. It's tucked away from the major streets on a relatively quiet little street. I was greeted by the friendliest people who took care of me immediately. The room was very clean and comfortably appointed. Our room looked over the gorgeous pool and had a bathtub on our balcony. It was my first night in Phnom Penh and I slept very well. Breakfast was good with a lovely presentation. My sister & I were going on an all-day tour and leaving that night so we checked out. The staff held our bags for us all day. When we returned, we had about 6 hours to kill before we left. We were greeted warmly and they let us hang out by the pool. We were even invited to use the pool which we were very happy to do after a long day. They told us that we could have checked out late, we only had to let them know. The staff were wonderfully accommodating. I would definitely stay again.

Very nice hotel”
Very nice, comfortable, and chic hotel in a relatively quiet neighborhood. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the s-21 prison (a must if you visit Phnom Penh), but all other sights are a bit far to walk to (easy tuk-tuk ride, though). The salt water pool is refreshing and the atmosphere is "cool". The complimentary breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious but the portions could be a bit more generous (the pancake is excellent but you will only get one; may I suggest to mgmt. at least two of the deliciousness as one leaves you wanting more and on the hungry side). Friendly pool side and restaurant service and again, the food was solidly good. The hotel offers transportation services but I would recommend using the "PassApp Taxi in Cambodia" app; it is a relatively new service and if you select the 'rickshaw' option (you can also opt for a vehicle at a higher price), it will send you a tuk-tuk to your location and the price is already set so you don't have to worry about haggling (prices in Riel but you can pay with the equivalent in dollars - only cash). To provide an example, the quoted one way fare from the Rambutan to the Killing Fields was 4 dollars and change. If you compare with what others charge, you cannot beat the price. Our flight was late in the evening and the hotel was extremely accommodating with our departure needs. We were very impressed with their hospitality as they wanted to ensure we were taken care of. As an aside, the Indian restaurant "Coriander" a few steps away is not only excellent but inexpensive with very good service.

Amazing hotel-loved it”
Such a wonderful stay here, will always come back here if we come back to Phnom Penh. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for you, lovely and it made it such a nice stay. Breakfast had a good choice and was very tasty. Lovely bath tub in our room, great fun but a little worrying with the building work behind meaning you couldn't really have a proper bath as workers could see you, resorted to bathing in a hot tub with swim ware on. Really nice pool to chill and relax. Although it's a bit far out from the min restaurants etc... it was always easy to get a tuk tuk, although tuk tuks did struggle finding the way to rambutan at times, but we got there in the end. Would highly recommend this resort.

Fantastic stay”
We had a wonderful stay at the Rambutan Resort in late July / early August of 2014. Our expectations were met or exceeded by the friendly staff, new hotel furnishings, delicious food, and great value! The Rambutan is located in south-central Phnom Penh, and only about a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride (generally $2 one way) from the Riverfront & Royal Palace. Highly recommended.

Comfortable stay”
The hotel is a slightly away from the centre Phnom Penh but not too far from the centre of actions (about 10-15 mins by tuk tuk, considering the crazy traffic in PP). The room is comfortable, the rain shower has the right pressure and is hot. We stayed at the deluxe pool view room and enjoyed the semi-open stone bath in the balcony. The pool is lovely. Breakfast is ala-carte but has a lot of varietie, both western and local. Tried the Vietnamese noodles and egg Benedict on the two days of our stay and both are delicious. The Rambutan mojito has a blend of tropical fruit tastes and is great.

Exceptional”
This is one of the best options for accommodation in Phnom Penh. The room I had was wonderfully furnished and accessorized. It had a very comfortable bed a very well finished bath and a huge terrace overlooking the city with a Jacuzzi tub. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and spoke very good English. The breakfast had a great menu and the food and service were excellent. Rambutan has a large beautiful pool area. You cannot find better accommodation in PP!!

Home with Family everyday”
I stayed at 209 for 6 days. Everyday I have to rush to meet the appointments at Phnom Penh with friends. We felt tired. However everytime we enter the gates of the hotel, there is always a friendly greeting from not one, but all the staffs from the Reception pass the kitchen and to the Bar. They will always ask, "How is your day?" " Do you want a drink?" "Do you want to order anything?" "Can I help you?" The breakfast prepared is delicious. Friendly staff. This time, I discovered the Smart Phone App to travel in Phnom Penh. So I did not need to bother the staff to hail a taxi for me. I just waited at the lobby. Still, a staff came to chat with me as I waited for my Tuk Tuk. He told me how the price has dropped since the App started. Also that most of the newer Tuk Tuk under the scheme no longer runs on Diesel or Petrol. Instead they use LPG gas. Which is cleaner and more fuel efficient. The Hotel is near so many NGO I had to work with yet, it is not at the main street. Love it.

The staff is top-notch and super-friendly, and the food is really good, so much so, that after dining out in town one night, we returned for dinner the next night at the hotel. Everything about the property is lovely and it's very conveniently located. I continue to give this hotel my highest recommendation.

We loved our time at Rambutan! Was just what we needed, as an ex expat, it was perfectly located to all my old haunts. The staff were so amazing, friendly and helpful and always ready with a smile m :) We LOVED our pool view room, beautifully appointed with a comfy bed and everything we needed, the private outdoor bathtub on the balcony was a added bonus! Bring bath bombs! They can be hard to find in Phnom Penh ;)

Simply splendid”
My stay at Rambutan Resort was simply wonderful. The staff at the resort were friendly and sincere, always willing to help and always serving with a smile. Their command of English might not be the best but they try really hard and it really shows. The room was really nice. Mine had a private outdoor bathtub and the beds were so comfortable. The hotel also helps you get tuktuks if you need and they charge a fixed price which is great since many tuktuk drivers out there try to cheat tourists. Plus, the prices charged by the hotel's tuktuk drivers gives you an idea of how much to bargain for when you do take a return trip from the place.

perfect place to stay for short time”
I stay very often in Phnom Penh and my favorite is Raffles but in boutique hotels the Rambutan is the very best. I have only good experience and that in any case. Staff, room, Bath, pool, food the only negative was, there is no vegetarian food and the menu card I would do some change but to be honest I'm a bit spoiled.

Very relaxing in beautiful new hotel and surrounds”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rambutan and would return to Phnom Penh just to stay in the hotel and do nothing else. We made some very nice friends among the super friendly, helpful, obliging staff - Da Chen, Bora, Poly, Pekang, Rous and of coures manager Tum - and would return just to visit them and enjoy the hotel again. Everything is close by tuk-tuk (15 mins to Central Market, 5 minutes to Russian Market) but it's in a nice quiet street. Thoroughly recommended!

Exceptional! Flirty, friendly, fun!”
It is rare that I don't have any "constructive criticism for a review, but Rambutan Resort just hot all the right notes with me. The location is quiet and peaceful, with a tranquil garden/pool/restaurant/bar for relaxing. Rooms are spacious with a quirky layout, and the bed is comfortable. But by far, it is the exceptional staff that made this stay so memorable. They were attentive, friendly, and helpful beyond measure. Their greetings and gorgeous smiles were always so large that it made me feel as if I was some sort of rock star that was getting special flirtatious attention. (They do their job THAT well!) I'd go back for that reason alone. LOL

A quiet room with a view”
We stayed for only two nights, but I wish it were longer. Rambutan Resort is a delightful fashionable boutique hotel for the mid-range traveller. The pool is refreshing, the food is great (the breakfast is delicious), the staff are attentive, sweet and helpful, and the location was perfect for what we needed. The room is fantastic. The beds are softer than I'm used to in SEAsia, the pillows too; the attention to detail is appreciated. My advice: don't let the penthouse go to waste without at least one plunge in the outdoor jacuzzi...ps it takes a bit of time to fill so keep that in mind. Tuk tuk drivers outside will sort you out if you need. We had a great driver all three days -- very much appreciated. Will stay again for sure!

It started when I arrived for night.I booked this hotel to relax a bit on the swimming pool and enjoying my BF after a week full of stress.the staff was quick and attend.I gave them my voucher.The young man came back to me and said,Sir are you coming next week again?I was surprised said nono but why?he said your booking is for next week.OK I had made wrong booking,he said pls wait I call the manager Mr.Dirk...Mr.Dirk came and said to me its a pity but we have no standard room now.but we upgrade you to a De luxe room(wich was great)and we wish you a nice stay!Thanks again to all people at Rambutan resort!

New hotel - Great design, Helpful staff”
My visit was solely apply for a Business visa with the Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, I wanted a hotel nearby to relax in the meantime. Rambutan Hotel was perfect for my needs. Upon arriving I was happy to be upgraded from a Standard Room to a Deluxe Room. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The room is quite big, with a lovely shower, soap and shampoo products. I made good use of the balcony, it's a good size, shaded, and with comfortable chairs to sit and read in peace. The bath on the balcony is great! The hotel is clean and new, everything been thought of and well designed. The dinning / bar area and pool is stunning and the breakfast very good, great coffee! Really look forward to coming back again. Highly recommended hotel.

One of the best reasons to visit Cambodia again”
This stylish hotel with comfortable rooms is located at southern part of city center and there are plenty of restaurants near by with different kind of style. Such great staffs and customers we met there made us feel so warm and cozy. Breakfast with different kind of food you can order and meals which they provided were also tasty. They provide glass bottles for water-refill and no plastic straws would be found. There is also a very cute cat that will definitely catch your eyes. We highly recommend this gay-friendly and eco-friendly oasis in the city of Phnom Penh.
