The GM, young gentleman (forgetting his name) was very attentive to our requirements and requests. Every single staff was fantastic in their demeanour and approach and even though we only stayed for a very short time, we will surely be back. Keep up the great team at Radisson Galle.

I had a nice stay ( deluxe room) at Amari. It was a magnificent view from the room (both sea and land view). Clean room, very big balcony, peaceful and organised place. Very beautiful lobby and outdoor areas, close to the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall it was a peaceful and relaxing stay. Good buffet, however desserts, sweets, variety of Sri Lankan foods required to be improved. Bathroom was clean but try to improve water drainage system. Highly recommend. Wish it were nearer to the main city”
Amari is a one stop location. If you plan to visit nearby Galle and Unawatuna cities , it's going to be a hassle. But the hotel, the food, the facilities, the staff - everything about it splendid !! Please go and stay for at least 3 days to enjoy everything it offers.

Magnificent View and Ambience ”
The first thing that prompted me to book this hotel was the gorgeous view of the Indian Ocean. The property does not require my validation to prove it's value, but I am a happy guest and would recommend everyone to stay here if possible. The staff, the facility and the food was all superb. Loved the experience.

Really nice staff. Lots of Russian tourists. Clean. Nice facilities, though some were closed. Very good food. Not a lot of restaurants nearby, so get half board if you can. An hour walk to Galle. Free water and internet. No shower or towels in the pool/beach area as far as I could tell. Meals were about $19 US for all you can eat. There is room service but no menu in the room.

Good view bad service ”
We had got a king room as we were traveling as a couple . On arrival we were offered a twin bedroom which was weird. On asking them they said we can join the bed instead of giving us the room we had booked and paid for. On forcing them they gave us the original room we booked rather than being apologetic or offering a compensation . In this drama of changing rooms we had missed the time for buffet which we'd 3 30 pm . We arrived at 3 25 for our buffet and asked if we should do the buffet or order Ala carte. They said we can do the buffet and they will hold it for 20 minutes. As soon as we started the buffet there were no spoons or forks . We asked them to bring them - one waiter got a spoon in his hand and put it on the table the other got the fork in one hand. We just put a few things on our plate and they started to remove the buffet - we said why are you doing this - they said the time is 3 30 . We told them that their staff member said it would remain there for 20 minutes - they said that's not possible and we were left hungry. Please note this is a 5 star resort for which we paid around 400 dollars a night or even more. When we arrived there were other people who were also shouting at the management as their rooms were mixed up . We also asked to see the manager and waited 45 minutes the manager didn't show up . We got to speak to a different manager at night who was very nice and understood the situation . To make things worse we forgot our charger in the room . On calling them 8 times ov3r 2 days they couldn't figure out what had happened and one person blamed the other . And after 2 days said we couldn't find it. We had to call them again and again rather than someone from their side informing us of this . The view is beautiful the beach is great the rooms are great ad well but the staff is not trained . This was our most expensive hotel but it was our worse experience out of all the places we stayed at . Employees or manager does not take ownership.

The rooms were fine but the food is hopeless. I do not recommend at all coming here if you are looking for good food. Also a-la-carte is so expensive. We ordered a nasi and a green curry which cost us LKR 4900.00 also was not good at all.

Ants/insects , raw food & rude staff”
The check in experience was quite bad. Checked in, went to the room, the bathroom and toilet was smelling really bad. Went for lunch and requested the housekeeping to clean. Came back, it was smelling the same. Called front desk, they were iffy. Went to the front desk and when complained, the staff was rude and the maintenance manager was downright rude. Eventually they changed the room. This room was thankfully not smelly but it had ants. Called the staff at least 4 times during my stay (5 nights) to spray insecticide. But the ants would come back again. But my child and wife numerous times and they developed rashes. Food that we ordered from room service was not upto standard. Burgers were not cooked ( raw) might have caused my child to get tummy upset for nearly 2-3 days. Thai chicken curry was curry and bones, with hardly any chicken. I could just go on about the food…. Now for the things we liked, well the room had a lovely view, lots of space and the beach access was great. Pool and lounging area was good too. But the negatives overshadowed the positives by a huge margin. I had been recommending Amari to lots of friends and family since 2011 when we had a wonderful stay in Amari Phuket, but this Amari was a let down…. Or maybe Amari standards have dropped considerably.

Doesn’t deserve the 5 star status ”
This hotel at best can be called a 3 star hotel considering the infrastructure, facilities and more importantly service. Staff is inadequate to handle guests ..... took more than an hour to get meal for 2 ready and that too usual stuff from the menu....only good thing was the pool and that’s it .... nothing else that would take you back to this hotel.... for same tariff, would recommend properties like Taj Bentota which are way better in terms of facilities and service... to sum it, pls avoid this hotel unless and until you get a very good deal

Amari galle was one of the worst hotels i visites in recent past. Terrible service. ”
I ordered a pasta for my son who is 20months, not that it took 2 hours to send food to our room and the food was stale. We sensed the bad quality of food and called one room service to inform only to experience a busy line and no call back either. Also at breakfasts all tables get busy. They donot disinfect unless u ask them to do so. Just wipe off food particles wont clean the table during a time like this. Food was average, mostly repeats from previous menus. Rooms are also not so wow, we got twin beds as they have run out of king sized beds. And overall, alot of service points to improve as an international chain

we had a 5 night stay at the Amari Galle hotel and it was very good. Clean modern rooms, good food, big pool area and superfriendly staff. the only negative is that you can't walk in to town from there. You have to take a tuk tuk. the hotels cars are very overpriced so don't bother. also if u want transport to airport or some other hotel I recommend you to use a local taxi service instead of the hotels. The price difference is about 100 %. but with that said I can say that this is by far the best hotel we have visited in Sri Lanka.

Excellent for family resort vacations”
The hotel was an excellent holiday place for our family of 4. The hotel is situated on it's own private beach. The beach is walled off so that the waves aren't too massive. The beach had shallow pools for young children. The children's pool and the larger pool are great for new and experienced swimmers. Also the hotel offers a playroom facility with scheduled activities for children to keep them engaged. Children above the age of 4 can be left without parents. The room has video game and movie options; toys; drawing spaces ect. The activities included clay making; treasure hunts; cotton candy ect. When we initially read the other reviews, we were worried about the breakfast selection. However those reviews are wrong - there is continental and Sri Lankan breakfast options and 6 different stations of food or fresh juice to choose from. The place is excellent for a resort holiday. And it's a 10 min ride from Galle Fort which is a must visit.

We stayed for just a week but it was way too short, we had never stayed at the Hotel or indeed in Sri Lanka before but we promise we shall return. we had a wonderful stay at the Amari and the staff could not have been any nicer, they were just great. From the ladies at reception, the catering staff at the restaurants to the bar staff and of course the lads looking after the sun lounges and the pools. We have a special mention for two of the pools lads, Asantha and Ranil and of course Jeewana at the pool bar, they were unbelievably helpful and friendly. We were there for fives days and we were then joined by our Son, his wife, and our granddaughter, we were all so impressed by the Hotel, especially the staff, so well done the Atari
