Accueil indifférent, Payer en plus pour tout

L'accueil est totalement inexistant et parle à peine l'anglais. Arrivés dans notre chambre, ce n'était pas la bonne, réservée pour 3 personnes (et pas deux). L'appel téléphonique à l'accueil n'a jamais répondu. On a du repartir à l'accueil pour demander ce que nous avions réservé. La chambre conforme,au final, ne correspond pas aux photos d'Agoda (petit lit en bois) mais à des chambres bien plus luxueusement meublées et confortables : c'était plutôt une bonne surprise. Décidés à aller à la plage : pas un transat, pas une activité, personne d'ailleurs. Mais la plage est très belle et déserte et nous avions nos serviettes... Pour la piscine, il faut aussi payer même lorsque l'on est client de l'hôtel. Pour le billard, il est disponible mais il faut aussi payer en plus. Le casino à l'étage est ouvert, peu fréquenté et donne une impression assez glauque. La salle des petit-déjeuners est en rez-de-chaussée en face de la réception. Elle n'a aucune fenêtre sur l'extérieur : ce qui lui donne une ambiance de cantine impersonnelle, très désagréable. Le petit-déjeuner était bon et le buffet diversifié. En bref, il est le seul hôtel de Laoag avec activités, donc incontournable, mais à l'atmosphère froide, impersonnelle et qui ne laisse qu'un mauvais souvenir.

Very good and clean hotel

This is the second time we have stayed at Fort Ilocandia, we like it there and will certainly go back for another visit. It is 10 Km from Laoag city, a little isolated but that can be an asset, and transport to the city can be easily arranged.

not impressed. aircon was not working properly, breakfast was horrible, poor lighting in corridors, old beds, outdated room designs, bathroom is musty and creepy

the place was very romantic and very affordable to money. Many scenic places and important location here. I think it is very good for those looking in a very good place. Service and crews are superb. Foods are awesome. Super swack on the money.

Great casino hotel

FIR is a bit far from the city center and there's no easy access to transportation (unless you avail of their car rental or rent a tricycle) but nevertheless, i still enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms were big and everything you need can be found in this hotel (they have a bar, a casino, a big pool, etc). I also like the architecture of this hotel (spanish influence)--its a handsome hotel though a litle renovation (specially on their bathrooms)would be good. Over all,i would definetely go back at FIR.
Conseil - attractions:
It is advisable to hire a trike (tricycle) as it is much cheaper that hiring the hotel car when going to th city center. Do check out Abel's woven looms for blankets and other woven cloth products--its good for pasalubong. Also, go to the market to get those bagnets and longganisa.

Lovely hotel with great service but old amenities

Not much choices on foods and beverages and lots of activity areas are not open for use. It looks like the place are short on employees to operate all of its facilities. The hotel is far from the city and they don't have cabs to bring you around the area.
